My fondest memories of John were made during summers at Cape John. The days, back then, always seemed sunny, and the adventures were many. John happily shared his passion for sailing with me which led to unforgettable family trips in Nova Scotia and PEI. Never one to panic, John’s steady hand reassured us in any situation. We feel blessed to have shared so much with John and his family.
Irma and I will be thinking about all of you tomorrow as you join to celebrate John’s life.

In a world where it seems intolerance and rudeness are growing John held on to what might now seem old fashioned values, he really was a true gentleman, kind, considerate, slow to criticize and respectful of his fellows.
We have wonderful memories of the times we spent together, in Ottawa, Georgian Bay, Nova Scotia, and around the world. John never said much but when he did speak, we all listened and respected his thoughtful comments. We could tell whether he agreed with a suggested course of action by the length of his ‘sure’ - a slow drawn out ‘suuuure’ (always said with a smile) meant we needed to reconsider!
You will always have a warm place in our hearts, John, and we are so grateful to have been a part of your life.
With love to all the family,
Les and Norma

Hello
I remember John from our time together as Phi Kaps, about 55 years ago. I remember attending a Phi Kap party at his folks great big house on St. Germain Ave.
Never saw him after my graduation in 1970, but have fond memories of him as a most genial fellow. A personality trait that I am sure carried him far in his career.
I don't know any of his immediate family but please accept my sincere sympathies on John's passing.
Sincerely
David Moll
