Obituary of Helen May Cole

It is with great sadness that the family of Helen May Cole, announces her passing at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Helen passed away peacefully, with her sister by her side, at the age of 87.

Born in Westcock, NB on February 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Henry Arthur Cole and Rita Carthell (Hoegg).

Helen was employed with NB Tel for forty-two years, working in Sackville until the office closed, after which she transferred to Moncton until her retirement. She enjoyed rug hooking, curling and travelling and she was always up for a good road trip. Helen attended church at St. George’s in Moncton, NB and she was a member of St. Ann’s Anglican Church in Westcock, NB. Helen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Jean Cole of Westcock, NB, as well as by several cousins, extended family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville NB. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Anglican Church, Westcock, NB on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11 AM with Father Craig O’Brien officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Westcock Cemetery. The family invites you to join them after the interment for a reception at St. Ann’s Anglican Church Hall.
