Justin I am so sorry about the passing of your Gramp. I have enjoyed the many stories about him that you have shared with myself and the boys on our hockey team over the past couple of weeks. I didn't know your Gramp however every time you spoke about him I felt that i got to know Gramp a little more each time. He was quite a fella. Cherish all of the great memories you have of him and i certainly hope that you will share more stories about him with me. I am sure he was very proud of you. Take care my friend. Mark Hicks

Condolences to Barb and family. Hughie was such a wonderful and hard working man. He loved to chat up a storm whenever I chatted with him. When I would call him for "boards for the towns tandem truck", it would be there the next day, always with a smile on his face.
I always said, if the town would just listen to Hughie on how to build a road, we would have perfect roads. His many years with Dexter Construction contributed to his wealth of knowledge on road building. The TOS was lucky to have him as a worker and I enjoyed his humor as well. He will be dearly missed. ❤️❤️

Hugh was one of the finest men I ever met! See him operate the maple syrup process, cut wood, whatever he did, he did well. He had the best sense of humour and was always ready to tease! Not only do Fred and I think the world of Hugh and Barb, but my parents did too. Dad and Mum always looked forward to a slab wood delivery for a chat, or two. Thinking of Barb and all of Hugh’s kids, and Grandkids, with lots of love Nat and Fred

Dear Barb and family. Our drives up the Mahoney Road just won't be the same without the big, work worn hand raising in greeting every time we drive by on our way to the camp.
Hughie was so lovely to my Dad the time they met. My Dad was so interested in the sawmill and everything Hughie was doing. They realized that they had a connection many years before while Hughie worked in Pennfield area for Dexter's and my Dad worked in the same area for NB Power. They both ate breakfast at the restaurant there. Amazing! Every time we visited Dad he would ask" how is the old fella with the sawmill?" My Dad was probably at least 20 years older than Hughie was however, he never forgot him and neither will the rest of us. Rest in peace Hughie.
