It was with great sadness that we learned of Dot’s passing. One could not ask for better neighbours than Dot and her daughter, Patty. Dot always had interesting reflections and stories to tell about Sackville, the old-timers, and about our area during the time when houses were being built here. Even our cats loved Dot, and our present cat, Savanna, often sat on her living room windowsill looking in on her! Dot was a kind woman, with a great sense of humour, and we are already missing her very much. We send our deepest sympathies to Patty, her devoted caregiver during her last years, and to her sons and extended family.

Patty, Marty and Brent, I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Dot’s, my godmother, passing. She was a lovely woman, with a great smile and a hearty laugh. I’m glad we had the chance to have dinner together in Dorchester when Mum and I were down for a visit a number of years ago. I have good memories of visiting your family on Devon, when we were kids. You are to be commended for being your Mother’s caregiver for all these years, for which I’m sure, she greatly appreciated. May she rest in peace.
