Gertrude’s passion for life and the Lord Jesus whom she loved, was evidenced by her hospitality, her open Bible and love of family! I will deeply miss seeing her at the Drew with her open Bible on her lap! May the peace of God be present with her dear family and closest friends!

My great memories of Gertrude a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church and a tremendous prayer warrior. She was a great friend and she was always willing to help in any way she could. We all enjoyed going to Gertrude’s house at Christmas and sing Christmas carols with her and I loved her phone calls when she was lonely. One of her favorite hymn was Beulah Land
