We were so sorry to hear about Mary's passing. Our condolences go to all of Mary's family and friends. While I never knew Mary personally, she sounded like a wonderful person...she sounded a lot like my own Mom...and I remember how much that hurt to lose her. Losing a loved one is always so painful, no matter how old or sick they were. Your happy memories will hopefully help you all to get through this tough time in your lives. Mike and family. I was so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. Mary was my step daughter's teacher when she first came to live with us and made the transition for her so easy and comfortable. Mary was a gem among teachers. She will be missed. A bright light extinguished too soon.

Dear Mike and family, I was so sorry to hear about Mary. She was indeed a lovely gentle person whose warm smile touched the hearts of many. I had wonderful conversations with her throughout the years and I always looked forward to our chats. Some were on the professional level as we taught together and , as well, taught each other’s children ; some on the personal level as our children were friends as were we, all very happy memories. When I started teaching in the mid nineties, in Sackville, my family was all in Québec. Mary and Mike made me feel part of the community. I remember Mary as a warm, kind and gentle person. I’m very grateful for their friendship. My condolences to Mike and family. Rest in peace Mary.

I remember Mary's playful side. At Molly & Conrad's wedding reception, there was dancing. Mary gave Mike the "come hither" gesture of a curled finger and a big smile and a twinkle in her eye. Mike came eagerly to join in the dancing! I love thinking of Mary this way.

Mary was one of the kindest, gentlest and generous souls that I was ever lucky enough to know. She always had a smile, a kind word and the most amazing laugh and always made me feel better having been around her. I will never forget the light she brought to our lives.
