Obituary of Andrew William Anderson

Bill Anderson, son of Alma and Anders Andersson, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville NB.

Beloved husband of Ruth Nicola (Morrison) Anderson. Father of Kenneth (Patricia), Janice (Donald), Heather (Blane), Kevin (Vallie). Grandfather of Rachael (Holly), Emily (Brad), Andrew (Tania), Graham (Ali), Nicola (Alex), Eric (Joni), Scott (Jen), Daniel, Rebecka (Rachel). Great-Grandfather of Antonia, Elizabeth, Barrington, Jacob, Jude and Ronan. Predeceased by brother, Anders and sister Sonia.

Bill was born on a farm near Bayard Saskatchewan and was a proud son of Swedish immigrants. He was a Stationary Engineer by profession. Following retirement, Bill and Ruth moved to Sackville, where Bill’s past experience gave him the opportunity to serve the community by overseeing the start-up of the new Sackville Memorial Hospital building.

To Bill, music was an ongoing joy. He was also a lover of boats, a fixer of all things and a family man. Bill was a dedicated member of the Amateur Radio Club, the Masonic Lodge, Mount Allison Choral Society, and the United Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). There will be a private family Celebration of Life.
