I have many great memories of Bill from my younger years. Bill was raised by my Nan - Marion Hicks - he was a cousin to my dad. Bill always smiled when I stopped by to visit. A very soft spoken man he didn't say much however he seemed to talk to me with no problem. One of my favorite memories of Bill was the smell of his pipe. I did not know many people who smoked a pipe so I thought it was pretty cool that Bill did. Second and third helping of Nan's cooking were very frequent occurrences with Bill. He would always do anything that you would ask of him and he was always proud to help you out. After Nan passed Bill moved away however he always asked about me when family visited him. He was a special friend to me and I believe he thought the same of me. Until we meet again bud thanks for the good times and the laughs. Rest in peace my friend - life wasn't easy for you however you never really let that show. Mark Hicks
