Dear Brian and family
I remember Veronica so well as a girl in my classroom at what we now call Marshview, in the 70s. Always a sweet smile and pleasant way. And when I reconnected with her at the Superstore in recent years, it always made my day brighter. il ooked forward to hearing about her family, her pride in your daughter and her nursing career, and the happiness she enjoyed day to day. A good, kind person. I am so sorry for your loss

My deepest sympathy’s to the family. Veronica was my childhood best friend and neighbour. We went on so many adventures and I have so many wonderful memories which I will always cherish. Playing in hay piles, helping her Dad with haying, bike rides, family skidoo trips, horse back riding (I always got to ride the boney back horse..Trigger or Dutches?..lol). I loved her strength and passion for life and her family who all stuck together. Rest In Peace my friend..

Please accept my condolences. I always enjoyed chatting with Veronica at the store, and would also deliberately seek her out since I enjoyed interacting with her so much (and she was just so good at what she did - no nonsense fast!!). Of course, our exchanges were mostly about some incredible product or sale you really had to appreciate, or then sometimes we were shaking our heads at some ridiculous price or seasonal product coming out far too early, in total agreement that clearly didn't require many words. Occasionally our conversation would even veer off to comment briefly on societal matters at large.
In the end, after having re-confirmed the basic truths in this way, I would emerge from what could have been an anonymous experience with a smile, and a renewed appreciation that in the end what really only ever matters is to have a meaningful exchange with another human being in what can be a crazy, incomprehensible worId.
May she rest in peace.

Thinking of all Veronica’s family. We never missed a chance to chat at the Superstore. I would purposely wait until I could use her checkout as I always enjoyed catching up.
