My parents spoke often of your parents attendance at the card parties in Melrose, and all the evenings they visited the farm just to have a hand or two, with smiles around (at least for the winners). We were so sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was a wonderful woman, with a big heart and a great sense of humour. Her family meant the world to her and she gave all of herself in any way she could - to them and to many others in her community. I'll miss her smile and her wonderful memory; but am happy to have known her well for all of these many years. Besides being a friend, she was also a cousin - first cousin to my late father. Our family has lost a dear soul. Rest well Dorothy; you are greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her children and grandchildren at this sad time.
