Obituary of Howard Arnold McRae
It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Howard Arnold McRae, at the Westford Nursing Home in Port Elgin, N.B. on Sunday, July 9, 2017. Howard was 82 years of age.
Born on June 4, 1935 in Cape Tormentine, N.B., he was the son of the late Otis and Anita (Trenholm) McRae.
Howard was born and raised in Cape Tormentine but laid down his roots in Dallas, Texas. Outside of his love for his family and friends, he loved his music. Howard was a brilliant and talented yet very humble musician. His smile and his laugh were infectious. Howard was the father of four, grandfather of six, great-grandfather of ten and a great musician. When asked after a gig if he had had a good time, he would reply, “Nothing but joy.”
Howard will be lovingly remembered by his uncle, Lyle Trenholm; his aunt, Marion Trenholm; his cousins, Marion Dean, Luetta Trenholm, Robert Trenholm and Carl Trenholm; his extended family from the USA as well as by his dearest friend, Joan MacDonald.
Besides his parents, Howard was pre-deceased by his wife, Charlotte McRae; his two aunts, Cassie Trenholm and Helen Trenholm and by his two uncles, Francis Trenholm and Edson Trenholm.
