Obituary of Coreen (Estabrooks) Patterson
We are heartbroken but at peace with the passing of an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and friend at the Drew Nursing home on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016.
Coreen was born in Midgic N.B on May 22, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Mable Emma (Phinney) and Harry Wesley Estabrooks.
She is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Willie Patterson; her three daughters, Patricia Baker (Bob), Faye Patterson (Buster Godwin) and Sally Brown (Duane Estabrooks); her 5 grandchildren, Christine, Jennifer, Brian, Alisa and Michael; her 12 great-grandchildren; her sister, Hazel Long as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Spending most of her life in Sackville, Coreen never knew a stranger, she loved people and those around her were made to feel special. She was an avid quilter, loved embroidery and was fun loving and always smiling. Coreen brought joy to our family and to those that knew her and she will be sorely missed.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her three sisters, Hilda, Rhona and Barbara and by her three brothers, Kenneth, Reginald and Norval.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Coreen’s caregivers at the Drew for their phenomenal care during her stay with them.
