One of my first memories of Aunt Coreen was visiting her and Uncle Willie, with my Mom & Dad ( Clarence & Shirley Johnson) bright and early on a weekend morning out near the CBC towers, where they lived at that time.
I recall, I was not really sure who they were and how she grabbed me, without hesitation , gave me a big kiss and told me how cute I was; she made me feel like I was the most special person on earth ! She was so full of life, that I was happy to just sit and listen , as she teased my Dad , with a straight face and a mischievous twinkle in her eye . I know she used a few choice words, that made me giggle and I instantly fell in love with her - how could you not ?!
Coreen loved her family but at the same time she shared her big heart with everyone around her. She had a great sense of humour and for those of you who knew her ...even into her 80s+ she was shocking my kids with her advice - " Do you want to know the key to a good marriage ?" ...and she would point to her bedroom upstairs:)
Uncle Willie, Patsy, Faye, Sally and all of your families- you are in our hearts and thoughts during this painful time. Celebrate her life, as we all will; she will live on in each of you and in the memories of all those who knew her.

I met her when I started work at the Drew and did not know her very long, but fell in love with her immediately. Her beautiful smile, and eyes that sparkled with kindness. I will miss her. I am very sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Our sincere sympathy to you all on the passing of such a great lady! I always smile when I hear Coreen's name as she was always smiling & ready to tell a funny story or joke. I remember many times her being at my Mom & Dad's(Robert & Alma Acton) preparing the many geese to sell for Christmas! It was a hard working day, but they all shared the work, stories and much laughter along with Edward & Viola Cook. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Coreen's passing. What a special lady she was and what a fulfilling life she lived. I will always remember visiting when she and Willie lived out by the CBC towers and later just down the street from us on Weldon.Your folks were such wonderful people and were so welcoming. I always remember your mom's face lighting up when she laughed. Willie continues to amaze all of us and I am sure he will miss her dearly as will all of us.Just know that we are thinking of you in a very difficult time.
