Obituary of Hugh Norman Hicks

Sackville, N.B. – The family of Hugh Norman Hicks announces his unexpected passing on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, N.B. at the age of 84 years. Born in Midgic, N.B. on August 6, 1931 he was the son of the late Mary Etta (Hicks) and Ezra Elsworth Hicks. Hugh will be missed by his wife, Florence (Hanington); his children, Brenda, Nancy (Wendell) Crossman, Elizabeth, Andrew and Mary Lynn (Rick) McIntyre; his sister, Bonnie; his brothers, Donnie, Winston and Eddie; his grandchildren, Lindsay Crossman (Darren Wheaton), Anneke Harpur and Nicholas and Morgan McIntyre as well as by his large extended family and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Frances, Kay and Eunice and by his brothers, Ron and Richard. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-8188). In keeping with Hugh’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hugh may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
