Dear Brenda, Nancy, Elizabeth, Andrew and Mary Lynn,
I lived beside your dad for many years and found him to be a helpful and pleasant neighbour. I hope he found the same in me. I will remember with a smile his gift to me of carpenter pencils, his willingness to share his tools and wisdom and the smile that came to his face any time we went for a visit - but especially on Christmas eve. He was always reluctant to share meals with us - but when he did he always had a story to share and derived great pleasure in hearing the tales of our lives. I like to think that we embodied true neighbourliness to each other and I will cherish the memories of all that we shared.
