She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother, not only to her own children but to the many children placed in her and John’s care over the years. Linda loved spending time at the cottage, beach combing, birdwatching, gardening and spending time with the loves of her life, her grandsons, James and Joshua. She was a Red Cross homemaker, special care worker in the hospitals and nursing homes and a part-time custodian for District #2. Linda was an avid volunteer and Nanny Linda to many little ones at Salem Elementary School. She worked at the school on the weekends so that the children could have basketball. Linda will be sadly missed by her husband of 43 years, John Mitton; three daughters, Rhonda (Jamie) Estabrooks, Rachel (Randall Chapman) and Cindy; two grandsons, James (Chandace Trenholm) and Joshua Estabrooks; two brothers, Frank (Maddie) Milner and Harry (Shirley) Milner; twin sister, Lorraine (Donnie) Hicks; special niece Donna (Leland) Estabrooks, who never missed an evening to come and take care of her and play Yahtzee; many other special nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Ralph (Debbie) Mitton and sister-in-law, Evelyn Baker. She loved them all very much and was loved by many special friends and their children and grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her sister Eileen; infant sister Barbara Catherine and by two step-sisters Irene Michealson and Elsie Flinn.
