Obituary of Ronald Mark Driscoll

It is with deep sadness that the family of Ron Driscoll, announces his passing on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the VG Hospital in Halifax, N.S. Ron was 58 years of age. Born in Halifax, N.S. on October 23, 1956, Ron was the son of Donald Driscoll and the late Lorraine (Woods) Driscoll. Ron was a member of the Bayfield Fire Department and the Chignecto Wagoneers. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Vara (Goodwin); his daughters, Heather Wells of Sackville, N.B. and Sherri (Scott) Lawson of Cogmagun, N.S.; his father, Don Driscoll of Riverview, N.B.; his sisters, Linda (Dave) of Moncton, N.B. and Sandy (Todd) of Wasaga Beach, Ontario; his brothers, Steven of Ottawa, Ontario and Jerry (Natalie) of Riverview, N.B.; his granddaughter, Brooke of Sackville, N.B.; his grandsons, Andrew and Connor, both of Sackville, N.B.; his son-in-law, Shane Wells of Sackville, N.B. and by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Ron was predeceased by his mother, Lorraine in February of 2015; his sister, Marion and by his brother Bill. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. Cremation has taken place and visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 6-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at Campbell’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Sackville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ron may be made to the Bayfield Fire Department or to the charity of one’s choice.
