Obituary of Calvin Lamont Spicer

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Calvin Lamont Spicer, aged 87, of Malden, New Brunswick on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Carl and Grace (Copp) Spicer.

Calvin lived most of his adult life in Oshawa, Ontario. He worked in the construction industry as a member of the Labourer's International Union of North America. Upon his retirement in 2001, Calvin and his wife Connie decided to move east and bought their property in Malden. He enjoyed playing cards at the Legion and bowling at the rec center with both old and new friends.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Connie (Sills); his son, Craig (Pam); his step-son, Don; his sister, Carolyn; his brother, Conrad (Donna); his sister-in-law, Elaine Barrett Spicer, as well as by his fur babies, Winston, Tom and Poppie.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sisters, Helen and Vonnie; his brothers, Eric, Floyd, Ashley and Clifford, as well as by his fur babies, Toby, Scooby and Tess.

Special thanks to the Extramural Nurses and to the staff of the Sackville Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell of Campbell's Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place in the Bayfield Cemetery at a later date.
