Obituary of Laurraine Della (Legere) Brine
It is with great sadness that the family of Laurraine (Lorine) Della Brine announces her passing on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Laurraine passed away following a brief illness at the Sackville Memorial Hospital at the age of 99 and is now with her Lord and Savior.
Born in Sackville, NB on March 21, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Lena (Legere) Cormier and John Cormier.
Laurraine adored her late pets, Gracie, Zoe Shanni and Champy and always rocked them to sleep. She was an avid knitter and was always happy to donate all of her knitting to Christmas Cheer. Laurraine enjoyed playing cards with her family, going to bingo and listening to music. She resided at the Autumn Lee Retirement Home for eleven years and she made a family of friends while she was there. Most of all, Laurraine loved all of her family dearly and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Laurraine will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Tressa Brine, Yvonne Brine, Doris (Fred) Arsenault, Shirley (Larry) Landry and Sarah Stultz, all of Sackville, NB; her sons, Oswald “Ozzie” Brine, Edward (Debbie) Brine and Peter Brine, all of Sackville, NB; her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her godson, Ron Brine, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Alfred Joseph Brine; her son, Emery Brine; her siblings, Peter Brine and Anita Brine, as well as by her grandsons, Gilles Chasse and Frederick Brine.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Laurraine's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. The burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Laurraine may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or to the charity of one’s choice.
