Obituary of Kevin Lorne Small

It is with great sadness that we must announce the unexpected passing of Kevin Lorne Small, age 57, at his home in Kingston, Ontario on Friday, June 28, 2024.

Born on October 27, 1966 in Rivers, Manitoba, he was the son of Ernest Lorne Small and Jean Carol (Rogers)

Kevin was a member of the 1980-1984 TRHS Titans Football Team. On June 23, 2022 the 1980 TRHS Titans Dynasty Football Team was inducted into the Sackville Sports Wall of Fame for their achievement in the sport. Kevin spent his summers in the Militia and Reserve Army where he performed as top soldier. Following his graduation from TRHS, Kevin left Sackville to pursue a higher education. He graduated from Queens University with a degree in Political Science and he also attended UNB and Sir Wilfred Laurier Universities in his lifelong endeavor for higher education. Kevin enjoyed spending time taking long walks around Queens University Campus where he set his roots and he worked at the Kingston Public Library. He was known as the fun-loving brother of his youngest sister and was known as the class clown during his school years in Sackville. Kevin was a great pool buddy to his nephews during his visits home and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him,

Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Lorne and Jean Small; his two sisters, Karen Small (Sean) and Carolyn (Isaac) Sarsour; his nieces, Tahiya Sarsour and Layla Sarsour; his nephews, Spencer (Krista) Prescott, Evan Noiles and Denver Noiles (Amanda); his great-nephews, Jackson, Easton and Rhys, as well as by many cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. The funeral service will take place at Campbell’s Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11 am with Rev. Mark Reece officiating.
