Obituary of W. Bruce Fillmore

It is with great sadness that the family of W. Bruce Fillmore announces his passing on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Bruce passed away at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 78.

Born in Sackville, NB on August 19, 1945, he was the son of the late Ethel Verna (Tower) and Lester Albert Fillmore.

Bruce enjoyed working on automobiles and keeping himself busy and he and Linda spent 20 years travelling together to Florida for vacation. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his life partner, Linda McEwen; his brother, Robert Fillmore; his niece, Tegan Canada, as well as by his nephews, Ryan Fillmore, Alan Fillmore and Donald “Bub” Fillmore.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother, Don Fillmore, as well as by his sister, Barb Fillmore.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Sackville (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Bruce’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family visitation will be held at a later date. The burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.
