Obituary of Eileen Mae (Snowdon) Estabrooks

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Eileen Mae (Bet) (Snowdon) Estabrooks, of Sackville, NB, on Monday, February 19th, at the age of 84.

 

Born on December 2nd, 1939, in Sackville, NB, she was the eldest daughter of the late Doreen (Bembridge) and Roy Snowdon.

 

Eileen was employed with Fawcett Foundry, Enterprise Foundry, Amherst Aerospace, and IMP Aerospace over her career. Eileen’s greatest passions were her grandson Jaden, her rug hooking and her gardens (home and the cottage). Eileen will forever be remembered as “The Warden”, named by her nieces and nephews who grew up around her at Walton’s Beach, her home away from home.

 

Eileen was pre-deceased by her husband of 62 years, Fred Estabrooks.

 

Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Shelley (Chris) Phinney of Cole Harbour, NS and Christine of Sackville; her grandson, Jaden Phinney of Cole Harbour, NS; her sisters, Barbara Siddall,  Susan Snowdon (Jim Hennessy), all of Sackville, Marilyn (Roger) Richard, Oshawa, Bonnie Snowdon and David Snowdon, of Linden, NS; her brother, Michael (Isabel) Snowdon, of Baie Verte, NB; her sister-in-law, Sheila Bulmer of Sackville; her nieces, Debbie, Kim, Kathy, Lynn, Karen, Cheryl, Lisa, Erin, Emma, and Grace; her nephews, Frank, Brent, Gary, Brian (Skip), Alexander, Luke and Joshua, as well as by all of her extended family and friends.

 

Eileen was also pre-deceased by her parents; her sister, Donna Snowdon; her brothers-in-law, James Bulmer and John (Jack) Siddall, as well as by her niece, Brenda Richard.

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville NB (506) 364-8188. A graveside service will take place on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 1:30 pm in the Westcock Cemetery, followed by a reception at the St. Ann's Anglican Church Hall to celebrate Eileen's life. Family and friends are invited to attend.

 

If so desired, memorial donations in memory of Eileen may be made to the Westcock Cemetery or to the charity of one's choice.
