Obituary of Eugene Joseph Marks

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene Joseph Marks, age 85, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Born on November 30, 1938 in Sackville, NB, he was the son of the late Yvonne Marie (Gallant) and Earl Ensley Marks.

Eugene spent 35 years working in Ontario, spending his final years in Sackville, NB. He enjoyed driving his car and keeping in touch with his family every day. Eugene was always around to help anyone in need and he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

He leaves to grieve his son, Kevin; his daughter, Tina; his brothers, Earl Jr., Lawrence, Charles Norman, David and Dale; his sisters, Rita, Margaret, Marilyn, Mary and Darlene, as well as by many nieces and nephews, especially Dianna and Heather. Eugene will  also be missed by the girls at the Aulac Big Stop and by his special friend, Laura.

Besides his parents, Eugene was pre-deceased by one sister, Clara and one brother, Gerald.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and the staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Following Eugene’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eugene’s memory may be made to the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.
