Obituary of William Scoggins

It is with great sadness that the family of William “Willie” Scoggins, age 60, announces his passing on Monday, December 4, 2023 at his home in Sackville, NB.

 

Born in Sackville, NB on November 4, 1963 he was the son of Doreen Charlotte Richards and the late Floyd Cameron Scoggins.

 

Willie was an avid hunter, farmer, carpenter and he was always a hard worker. He enjoyed being at his camp and having a good time with his friends. Most importantly, Willie loved his family, his children and his grandchildren and he was the “best bampy”. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Willie will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Doreen Charlotte Richards of Sackville, NB; his wife of 41 years, Barbara Ann (Wells) Scoggins of Sackville, NB; his children, Amy Scoggins (Joe) of Sackville, NB, Jessica Steeves (Marc) of Sackville, NB, Kyle Scoggins (Lacey) of Sackville, NB and Katelyn Ford of Halifax, NS; his sisters, Angela Clare (Randy) of Sackville, NB, Heather Beal (Earl) of Sackville, NB, Donna Lowerison (Robbie) of Dorchester, NB and Kathy Cormier of Dorchester, NB; his fifteen grandchildren, Maddy, Hailey, Jordan, Emily, Noah, Holden, Abigail, Joshua, Madelyn, Alyssa, Willow, Clara, Alexa, Layla and Logan, as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

 

Besides his father, Willie was predeceased by his nephew, Jordan Cormier; his brother-in-law, Ricky Cormier, as well as by his son-in-law, Aart Terbeek.

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and the staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Sackville (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 6-9 pm. A private family burial will take place at the Westcock Cemetery.

 

If so desired, donations in memory of Willie may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation Addiction Services or to the charity of one’s choice.
