Obituary of Brian Morrison Dobson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Morrison Dobson on Saturday morning, September 16, 2023 at the Moncton Hospital at the age of 65. Brian passed away peacefully, with his daughter by his side.

Born in Sackville, NB on May 28, 1958, he was the son of Marjorie (Stephens) Dobson and the late Ivan Harris Dobson.

Brian was employed with the Town of Sackville for 42 years, until his recent retirement. He enjoyed spending time outside and always had a project on the go. Brian enjoyed stirring the pot when the time was right but he was the first one to lend a hand when someone needed it. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Brian will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jacklyn (Korey) Price; his mother, Marjorie (Stephens) Dobson; his two sisters, Marion Dobson-Burns and Anne Lee; his sidekick, Dodge, as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Brian was pre-deceased by his father, Ivan Harris Dobson, as well as by his wife, Veronica May (Estabrooks) Dobson in 2020.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. A celebration of Brian’s life will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 3-6 pm. All are welcome to attend to share stories and to remember Brian.

If so desired, donations in memory of Brian may be made to the Cancer Research Society, The Relinquished Souls Animal Rescue Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
