Obituary of Albert William Sears

It is with great sadness that the family of Albert William Sears must announce his unexpected passing on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Albert passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital at the age of 68, with his son by his side.

Born in Sackville, NB on October 13, 1954, he was the son of the late Sybilla Flora (Goodwin) and Gerald James “Judd” Sears.

Albert was well known for selling lobster in Aulac, NB for over 30 years, where he enjoyed meeting customers from all over the world. Spending time on his boat with friends and family was a favorite past time and he even sunk it one time in Port Elgin, the exact spot got the nick name “Albert’s Corner”. In his younger years, he kept busy and liked being outside splitting wood and doing jobs around the yard. Albert loved to visit people and have a chat, enjoyed having a drink and getting out to party and was always up for a good time. He took great pleasure in his time spent with family and friends at the cottage and was the provider of all the fireworks at the beach. Albert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Albert will be lovingly remembered by his son, Josh Sears (Heather); his daughter, Billy-Jo Oulton; his brothers, Colin (Louitta) Sears and Mike Sears (Shirley); his sisters, Muriel (Ernie) Austin, Janice (Brian) Withers and Rosa (Guy) LeBlanc; his three grandchildren, Kaylie Sears, Kyle Sears and Keera Sears, as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides his parents, Albert was pre-deceased by his sisters, Reva LeBlanc Wells and Sharon Tower; his infant brother, Gerald James; his brother-in-law, Wayne Tower, as well as by his special friend, Dolores Lucci.

Funeral and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Sackville (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 6-9 pm. A graveside service will be held in the Midgic Cemetery on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 3 pm with Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating.
