Victor Wells

Obituary of Victor Ormand Wells

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Ormand Wells, on Monday, June 19, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital. Victor passed away surrounded by his family at the age of 76.

Born in Anderson Settlement, NB on August 24, 1946, he was the son of the late Myrtle Minerva (Fields) and Harvey Oulton Wells.

Victor was a strong member of his home community as well as the agricultural community and was well respected by many.  He was always there to lend a hand if help was needed. Later in life, he and his beloved wife Katherine enjoyed cooking as a team and watching out the window to see who was driving by or possibly stopping in. Victor was a very shrewd card player, loved his stories of tug of war, and he had a very sarcastic wit right up until the end. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Victor was loved by his wife of 49 years, Katherine (Hicks) Wells; his children, Jason (Jennifer) Wells, the late Heather (Michael) Smith, Wendy Rose, Lori Kay and Jeff Kay (Kimberlee); his two brothers, Lewis (Donna) Wells and Lorne (Ida) Wells; his grandchildren, Dustin, Sarah, Matthew, Jonathan and Megan; his great-grandson, Jack, as well as by several nieces and nephews and many friends. He will be fondly remembered by all who survived him.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Victor’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service at this time.

If so desired, donations in memory of Victor may be made to the Midgic Cemetery or to the charity of one’s choice.
