Obituary of Jasper Raymond Sears

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jasper Raymond Sears, age 80, at this home in Midgic, NB on Friday, March 17, 2023.

 

Born on December 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Luther Wellington Sears and Hazel Elaine (Hicks).

 

Jasper was an avid gardener and hunter and loved being outdoors. His family never had to “google” anything as Jasper always had the answers to any questions. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Jasper will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Edna Mary (Bourque) Sears; his son, Dale (Kim) Polley; his daughter, Paulette (Norman) Saunders; his son, Tim (Melissa) Sears; his son, Jonathan (Jodi) Sears; his brothers, Seymour (Joan) Sears, Ned (Sandy) and Brennick Sears; his grandchildren, Jacob, Justin (Sabrina), Alexa, Taylor, Reanna (Eve), Riley, Shanikwa, Aiden and his special “Big Fella”, Oliver; his great-grandchildren, Nolan and Liam, as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends

 

Besides his parents, Jasper was pre-deceased by his sisters-in-law, Linda Sears and Peggy Sears.

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 2-4 pm and all are invited to attend. A graveside service will take place in the spring in the Midgic Cemetery.

 

If so desired, donations in memory of Jasper may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.
