For as far as my memory will allow. From so many visits to Bernard and Pauline's , driving dirtbikes "up on the hill" of King St, to surprise visits (while on tour) at Anne's Acres. My memories span decades of how fun and welcoming Gerald and Dorthy have always been to myself and many others. I am so very sorry for your loss.Thinking of you all today and the days ahead♡

We would like to extend our sympathy to you, Dorothy and your family.
We have many fond memories of Gerald at Ann’s Acres. Your former fireworks breakfasts were a major social event of our community. The Phinney family busy with toast, sausages, beans, etc. – Gerald always smiling, no matter how busy you were. Great stories, lots of food and laughter – just a super event!
Gerald, who would come in from a hard day’s work on the farm, still able to smile, laugh and be willing to help out his neighbours; a man of ceaseless energy.
The last couple of years have been difficult for you, Gerald. Yet you still managed a smile and a kind word. You will be missed.

My cousin Dorothy, Andrea, Andy and Anthony. Our hearts go out to all your family for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather. This is a very difficult time for everyone. I met Gerald 45 years ago through Dorothy. He welcomed me with open arms. Gerald was a down to earth, honest, common-sense man with a fantastic sense of humour. If you were having a bad day, Gerald turned it into a fantastic day.
He had love and compassion for family, friends his dogs and life. His obituary says it all. His family was the world to him and he opened his home to everyone. I will never forget how he cared for Dorothy's mother Hazel throughout the years. That was Gerald and who he was. Thank you Gerald for the advice you gave me, the beers and meals when we visited. You will be missed by all. R.I.P. my friend.
