Obituary of Gloria Joan Mitton
Gloria Joan Mitton, 83, of Colpitts Settlement, formerly of Sackville, passed away at Golden Years Estate, Moncton, on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Malcome and Myrtle Annie (Estabrooks) Wry.
Gloria was a retired laborer for Enterprise Foundry, and a member of the Five Points Baptist Church. She enjoyed being in nature and time at her cottage, and with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survived and sadly missed by her sons, Jody and James (Cindy) both of Colpitts Settlement; daughter, Jocelyn (Michael) Laurette of Amherst, NS; grandchildren, Steven, Kenneth, Justin, Andrew, Samantha Mitton (Josh), Natasha (Brandon) Boudreau, and Brandon Laurette; one great-grandson, Everett Boudreau; brother, Donald (Joy) Wry of Florida; sisters, Norma and Carolyn Hicks both of Sackville, and Rachel Tower of Dorchester, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband, William A. Mitton; her brother, Horace, as well as by her sisters, Katherine, Betty, Evelyn, Phyllis, and Irene.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, April 13, from 7 – 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 14, at 1 pm with Rev. Bill Parks officiating. The family encourages those attending to wear masks. Interment will be in the Sackville Cemetery after cremation takes place.
