My Love, Thoughts and Prayers are with you at this time. So sad to hear of Jamie's passing, however I know he was in ailing health in Chatham where I visited him. I worked with Jamie for a long time, in the group home and when I was rec director. He enjoyed our day and camping trips.
Yes Jamie was a straight shooter and a great, dry sense of humor. He had beautiful eyes and teeth, I always complimented him.
I have quite a few stories, I will share 1.
We were all at NBCC, Jamie was in the vocational program however he didn't want to stay in the room at his task, staff trying to coax him to come back , he kept saying "no".
This went on for a bit, I was observing, so I said to Jamie, that's OK Jamie can stay here, he got up and said, " I'm going back"
He loved Mary, another woman he lived with.
Jamie was always going to take a sabbatical, like his Dad. And yes he loved his Birthday and Christmas!!
He also lived at Stanley with my sister Patty, he thought alot of my Mum and Dad and they thought alot of him.
God Bless him and I know he is so happy to see his Mum and Dad again and his friends from MORE.
