Judy Bateman

Obituary of Judy Bateman

It is with deep sadness that the family of Juliette "Judy" Nancy Bateman announces her unexpected passing on Monday, March 21, 2022.  Judy passed away at her home at the age of 72.

Born on March 8, 1950 in Sackville, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Mary (Downing) Bateman and John Bateman.

Judy worked at the Drury Lane Steakhouse at Fort Beausejour for a few years before she was employed at the Drew Nursing Home until her retirement. Judy loved animals, especially Molly, her Shih Tzu. She loved to shop, eating out at restaurants and she was an avid reader, especially true crimes, but she would read almost anything. Judy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Judy will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Ron Trenholm (Dagmarys) and Jason (Louise); her daughter-in-law, Tracy Hicks; her granddaughters, Ashley and Jessica; her great-granddaughter, Haven; her sister, Sandra Lucci (Joe); her brother, Wayne, as well as by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her son, Troy Lorette; her granddaughter, Jordan Lorette; her sisters, Janet Forsythe-LeBlanc and Barbara Leger; her brother, Doug Bateman, as well as by her nephew, Tony Duguay.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Judy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.  A graveside service will take place at a later date with details to be announced.

If so desired, donations in memory of Judy may be made to the IWK Hospital for Children or to the Lillian Allbon Animal Shelter in Amherst.
