Obituary of David Frederick Henry Amos

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Amos, age 74, on Friday, February 4, 2022.  David passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Sackville, N.B. on July 3, 1947, he was the son of the late Frederick Henry Amos and Shirley (Scott).

David was a hard worker and was retired from IMP Aerospace where he was a press operator. He was a kind, loving man who adored his family and his grandchildren. David loved spending time at the camp and the beach, where he enjoyed having bonfires. He also looked forward to his time spent at Tim Hortons with his wife Linda, catching up with their friends. He was a loving husband, father, papa and brother, and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Linda Mae (Ripley) Amos; his children, Paul (Dawn) Amos, Sherry Jones and Natasha (Joe) Cook; his grandchildren, Cody and Colton, Anna and Connor and Lee and Layne; his brothers and sisters, Al (Jean) Amos, Brian (Linda) Amos, Debbie Amos (Ralph Mitton), Kathy Amos (Jamie Robinson) and Gary (Kim) Amos; his many nieces and nephews, as well as by his extended family and friends.

Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Estabrooks.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-8188). In keeping with David’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David may be made to CNETS Canada (Canadian Neuroendocrine Tumour Society) or to the charity of one’s choice.
