Obituary of Lorne Donald Green

It is with great sadness, that the family of Lorne Donald Green announces his passing on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton. Lorne passed away peacefully at the age of 66, with his sister Karen by his side.

 

Born on November 21, 1955 in Campbellton, N.B., he was the son of the late Charles Louis Green  and Betty Christina (Wood).

 

Lorne was employed with CN as a signal operator before moving onto employment with Fundy Environmental and Fort Folly Habitat Recovery. He enjoyed all sports and loved the great outdoors.  He always looked forward to his hunting trips with his nephew, Keith Ward. He will be greatly missed by his family, as well as by his buddies, Tony, Peter, David and Stevie.

 

Lorne will be lovingly remembered by his son, Charles Robert Green (Carrie); his siblings, Sandra Ayer, Karen Dube, Lucy Anderson (Wendell), Harry Green and Tammy Green, as well as by many nieces and nephews.

 

Besides his parents, Lorne was pre-deceased by his infant sister, Catherine Jane; his brother, Kenneth Charles; his nephew, Leo Dube; his niece, Betty Ward, as well as by his brothers-in-law, Duane Ayer, Ron Cormier and Albert Stiles.

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. E4L 3P1 (364-8188). In keeping with Lorne’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.  A burial will take place in the spring in the Dorchester Rural Cemetery.
