Obituary of Louise Doris (LeBlanc) Dobson

It is with great sadness, that the family of Louise Dobson must announce her peaceful passing on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Moncton Hospital at the age of 92.

 

Born on December 18, 1929 in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Genevieve (Bourque) and Dosithe LeBlanc. 

 

Louise worked at several local jobs, including the Mount Allison University Library and Borden’s Restaurant. After this, she and her late husband Stanley opened a beverage room in Port Elgin which they operated for many years. Following Stanley’s passing, Louise went on to be employed at Northern Telecom. She loved being at the cottage, spending time with her family and friends and the endless evenings of cards with Lottie and Phyllis. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Louise will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bruce (Joice) Dobson, Lisa (Menjo) Norden and Rodney (Hedy) Dobson; her two sisters, Margaret Richardson and Sandra Dawson; her grandchildren, Christopher (Norma), Robin (Cody), Jonathan (Carine), Luke, Misty (Alex), Sarah (Faisal) and Rebecca (Aaron); her two great-grandchildren, Mason and Caleb; her special friend, Debbie MacDonald; her sister-in-law, Donna Olsen, as well as by several nieces and nephews.

 

Besides her parents, Louise was pre-deceased by her husband, Stanley in 1976; her granddaughter, Nicole in 2017, as well as by her siblings, Lionel, Joseph, Roy and Jean.

 

The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Moncton Hospital for their care and kindness during Louise’s short stay with them.

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. E4L 3P1 (364-8188). A private family visitation will take place. A graveside service will take place in the spring in the Sackville Cemetery.
