My condolences to Gary's family and friends who loved him. He was such a gentle soul, so much so that his occasional cheeky comment almost went under the radar...almost. Even when he must've been feeling pretty rotten, he'd catch me off guard in conversation and we'd share a chuckle. 'Tipped a little drink in your memory, my friend.

We are very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. We were happy to be neighbours on Queens Road for 14 years. He was a wonderful man. If you needed to borrow anything he would be the one to ask. Saying good bye to our dads is not just a one day or week process. It is a forever time.
We watch for them in our children and siblings. In their workshop. In a store, or on a sidewalk. Especially at family gatherings. Our minds know they have left for a softer place, but our hearts search on for them.
And then we begin to hear them in the words we say. The laughter we share. The memories we find in our hearts.
On a sunny day when a cloud passes over and leaves a shadow, that's your dad. He is watching over your shoulder.
