Brenda (Snowdon) Wheaton

Obituary of Brenda Lee (Snowdon) Wheaton

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Lee (Snowdon) Wheaton, age “39 and holding”, of Midgic, NB, where she has resided on the farm which she and her high school sweetheart Miles called home for one month shy of their 44th wedding anniversary. Brenda passed away at her home on Sunday, October 10, 2021.

Born in Sackville, NB on August 25, 1957, she was the daughter of Jack and Deanna (Cook) Snowdon and she was raised by Roland and the late Lillian (Briggs) Cook.

Brenda was an avid quilter, first learning from her late mother-in-law, Muriel (Hicks) Wheaton early in her marriage and later becoming a proud member of the Sackville Quilters Guild, where members knew her for her love of those purple fat quarters they would trade and gift to her. She thought the world of her daughters and grandchildren, often telling her customers over her 10 plus years at Foodland how they were doing. Brenda was an involved member of the Midgic United Baptist Church, often teaching Sunday School children and planning the Christmas concerts.

Brenda will be deeply missed by her husband Miles; her daughters, Tammy (Darren) Lane of Riverview, NB and Rebecca of Fredericton, NB; her four grandchildren, Cailyn, Isyah, Kathleen and James; her sisters, brothers and her in-laws; many nieces and nephews, as well as all of the extra “kids” her daughters brought home over the years.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville NB (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Brenda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place in the Midgic Cemetery on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10:30 am with Rev. Mark Reece officaiting. All are welcome to attend and masks are recommended.

If so desired, memorial donations in memory of Brenda may be made to Diabetes Canada, The Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the charity of one’s choice. On-line condolences & sharing of memories may be forwarded to the family through our website www.campbellsfuneralhome.com or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page.
