I wish to offer my most sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Geoffrey and his family at this sad time. It was a privilege and a joy to have been Lorraine’s physician. In fact, we had so much conversation to share that focusing on medical matters was challenging. During summertime we were neighbours. I understood the family’s love for Parlee - a very special bond between the Carpenters and the Counsells. Cherish your beautiful memories and know always how much you are respected and loved as individuals and as a family. God bless!

Marilyn joins me in sending our deepest sympathies to Geoff and the entire family. I didn’t know Lorraine well, but she was often at gatherings and parties associated with the university, where we always sought out an opportunity to converse. She was a superb conversationalist, and we enjoyed many a sparkling conversation about her recent travels, about living in Sackville, and about world affairs. She was always curious and interested in me and what I was doing, including my musical studies. She will be deeply missed.
