Obituary of Gordon Hallet Beal

It is with sadness but peaceful hearts, that we announce the passing of Gordon Hallet Beal on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Moncton Hospital. Gordon passed away with his family by his side, at the age of 87.

Born on April 10, 1934 in Midgic, NB, he was the son of the late Hallet Mont Beal and Kathleen Gertrude (Jones).

Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Barbara (Estabrooks); his daughters, Karen (Ian) Harborne, Kathy Beal (Curt Duggan) and Darlene (Jean) Cabral; his grandchildren, Christopher (Katherine) Harborne, Luke Cabral and Lynnsy Chapman; his great-grandsons, Aedan and Derrick Harborne and Felix Harborne; his sister, Alta Wry; his brothers, Robert Beal and Austin (Gloria) Beal, as well as by many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his grandson, Michael Harborne; his brother, Gerald Beal, as well as by his niece, Marie Wry.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Doctors and staff at the Moncton Hospital, Intensive Care Unit, 5600 and Palliative Care for all of their care and kindness during Gordon’s stay there.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 6-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 3:30 pm with Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating. In light of the current case numbers in the local area, the family has requested that masks be worn while inside the funeral home during visiting hours and for the funeral service. We thank you for your understanding. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Four Corners Cemetery.
