Obituary of Joyce Ibbitson
It is with deep sadness that the family of Joyce Ibbitson announces her passing on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 73.
Born in Springhill, NS on March 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Lillian May (Chapman) and Benjamin Frank Bacon.
Joyce was very active in the Mount Whatley Anglican Church and she loved her family, friends and neighbors.
Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Wade Ibbitson of Shemogue, NB, Wanda (Sammy) Blades of Pugwash Junction, NS and Bob Ibbitson of Sackville, NB; her two grandchildren, Joanna Marie Blades and Steven Blades; her sister, Sandra MacKenzie of Amherst, NS; her three half-sisters, Patsy Brown of Newfoundland, Eleanor Erkhart of Saint John, NB and Doris Laraby of Amherst, NS; her half-brother, Jim MacSaveney of Ottawa, Ontario, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Carl Ripley Ibbitson; her twin sister, June Blacklock; her half-sister, Marjorie Boss, as well as by her half-brother, Jackie MacSaveney.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Joyce’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.
