Emile Landry

Obituary of Emile Landry

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Emile Landry, age 74, of Petit Cap. Emile passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 3, 2021 with his two loving daughters by his side. Born in Petit Cap, he was the son of the late Adelard Landry and Lizzie (LeBlanc), father to Tina (Lise) Landry of Dieppe, NB and Shauna (Ryan) Murray of Amherst, NS. Emile earned his education and living as a life-long commercial fisherman and he excelled at it in every way. Dad was a man with a plaid shirt, blue jeans and a ballcap. When he looked upon the ocean or entered the woods, he would smile. He mastered the tides that washed upon the Northumberland Straight and when he hunted, he could conjure the animals of the beautiful New Brunswick woods. Dad enjoyed time at the wharf, drives looking for deer, but especially his afternoon naps. He was a strong and quietly confident man who lived his life in the woods or on the water by the way the wind blew. He will be missed dearly. Emile will be sadly missed by his daughters, Tina and Shauna; his sisters, Jeanne (Eddie) Nicholson of Upper Cape, Charline (Jean) Depres of Cap-Pele and Linda (Edmond) Doiron of Robichaud; his brothers, Valerie, Roger (Lois), Jean (Claudette) and Billy (Lauretta); his three granddaughters, one grandson and three great-grandchildren, as well as by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Emile’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral services. If so desired, donations in memory of Emile may be made to your local SPCA or to the charity of your choice. On-line condolences & sharing of memories may be forwarded to the family through our website www.campbellsfuneralhome.com or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page.
