Obituary of Jordan Mechelle Lorette

It is with profound sadness that the family of Jordan Lorette announces her sudden passing on Sunday, December 27, 2020. Jordan passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital at the age of 24. Born on August 13, 1996 in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of Tracy Lee Hicks and the late Troy Douglas Lorette. Jordan enjoyed writing immensely. She had written some poems and stories which may be published in the New Year. Besides writing, she had a love of book reading. Jordan had a love of animals and was always bringing home a stray but especially loved her rescue dog Finn, her parrot Charmander and her cats, Felix, Nico, Baloo and Benji. She was a home body but always cherished her visits and outings with her cousin Becky and loved family gatherings. Jordan loved with all of her heart and she was fiercely protective of her mother/best friend as well as her younger sister, Jessica. Jordan will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Tracy Lee Hicks; her sister, Jessica Nicole Lorette; her grandmother, Juliette “Judy” Bateman; her grandfather, Barry (Jane) Lorette; her aunts, Marsha Thompson (Gary Mulder), Sharon (Dale) Ward, Lottie Hicks and Tammy Doak; her uncles, Barry (Rhonda) Hicks, Brent Hicks (Lori Marsh), Jason Lorette and Ronnie Trenholm; as well as by several cousins. She was pre-deceased by her father, Troy Douglas Lorette; her maternal grandparents, Eunice and Floyd Hicks, as well as by her uncle, John Thompson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, January 2, 2020 from 1-3 pm. The burial will take place in the Westcock Cemetery.
