Obituary of Ronald Stuart Stone
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Ron Stone on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the age of 82. Ron died peacefully at home in Frosty Hollow, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Frosty Hollow, NB., on December 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Charles and Frances (Read) Stone.
He was happy outdoors, being on his tractor or tending his blueberry fields in Rockport and also enjoyed farming, hunting, running his sawmill and was always up for a good game of 200 or 45’s.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Pearl (nee Johnson) Stone, Frosty Hollow, NB; his daughter Vicki (Peter) Estabrooks, Sackville, NB; his sons, Donald (Chandran) Stone, Maynooth, ON and Bruce (Judy) Stone, Upper Rockport, NB; his siblings, Mary (late Ralph) Steeves, ON,
Edith (late Roy) Jones, Riverview, NB, Ruth (late Bert) Perfect, ON, Corinne (Malcolm) Martin, Riverview, NB and Frances (late Thomas) McAllister, Saint John, NB; his grandchildren, Cara (Tanner), Samantha (Stevy), Kristin, Ryan and Morgan; his step-grandchildren, Aaron and Evan; his great-grandchildren, Landen, Hunter, Ava, Brice, Ashlyn and Finley, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his son, Ronald Brent Stone; his siblings, Ray (Jean) Stone, Wendell Stone, Phyllis (Rev. David) Gray, Alice (Bruce) Trotter and Marguerite Stone, as well as by his step-mother, Mildred (Sears) Fillmore.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 6-9 pm. A grave-side service will take place at the Westcock Cemetery on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 2 pm with Father Craig O’Brien officiating. Social distancing will be respected at both of these events and a maximum of 50 attendees will be permitted for the graveside service. In accordance with the NB Government regulation effective June 9, everyone entering a building open to the general public must wear a face covering. *Please note that the Government of NB has updated this statement to say that if 6 foot social distancing can be maintained your mask may be removed once inside, if you desire. We have arranged our facility so that we have the required 6 foot distancing.
