Obituary of Florence Alberta (Tower) Harris
It is with great sadness that the family of Alberta Harris announces her passing at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, NS on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the age of 66.
Born on July 21, 1953 in Sackville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mabel (Read) and Bamford Tower.
Bertie always looked after everyone else before herself and loved her family very much. According to some, she loved to yell, but this always got what needed doing done. Her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews were her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bertie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Norma Novak (Chris); her granddaughter, Samantha Hall (Jesse); her grandson, Stirling Hall; her step-grandson, Mason Boutilier; her great-granddaughter, Serenity Lynn Tully; her brother, Chester Tower; her nephews, Jody Tower (Monique) and Matt Crossman (Jessica); her niece, Stacey O’Dea (Regan), as well as by her step-sons, Ron and Richard Harris.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, James Harris; her brother, Vincent Tower; her aunt, Lillian Read, as well as by her half brother, Cedrick Tower.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Bertie’s family wishes to invite you to join them in celebrating her life on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. A graveside service will take place in the summer, with a date and time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bertie may be made to the Rockport Cemetery, Rockport United Church or to the charity of one’s choice.
