Pat and Vernon would like to offer Marlene and family our condolences on the passing of Richard. Vernon and I did not know Richard well but any time we spent in his company he graciously made us feel welcome. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time in your lives.

Remembering when Richard and Marlene came to visit us in Smiths Falls. As it grew evening and the mosquitoes drove us in Richard went into his military training. Tolerance and mind over matter he beat the battle of the mosquitoes. Richard was always welcoming, kind and would go out of his way to help. He was robbed of his retirement and life with his beautiful family. Lord God hold Richard in your ever loving arms. Patiann Baigent xo

Will never forget Uncle Richard's visit to Ontario to our home in Muskoka. I was only 10 but an avid fisherwoman (lol) and my favorite lure was my red devil. Uncle Richard decided the was going to give my rod a few casts and managed to get it snagged and lost my red devil lure. I was so upset and I cried and cried. Uncle Richard tried to console me but it was like the end of the world. The next day he went out and bought me I swear 20 of them in all different sizes. He was a great man and am so thankful that he was part of my life.
