Obituary of David John Jewers
It is with great sadness that the family of David Jewers announces his passing at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton on Friday, October 25, 2019. David passed away at the age of 69, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 29, 1950 in Sackville, NB, he was the son of the late Muriel Mae (Hicks) and Charles Stanley Jewers.
David was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26, Sackville. He enjoyed playing pool and being outside, hunting and fishing. David had a great sense of humor and was always a tormenter and enjoyed being a prankster. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Joyce (Stokes) Jewers; his son, David; his daughter, Heather (Josh); his brothers, Charles “Chuck” (Darlene) and James; his granddaughter, Presley McGlashing; his grandson, Ryan Conway; his aunt, Marina Richard, as well as by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sister, Marilyn Landry and her husband, Don Landry.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). David’s family invites you to join them in celebrating his life on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 1-3 pm at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery at a later time.
