Obituary of Edward Christie
It is with deep sadness that the family of R. Edward Christie announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at his home in Upper Rockport, NB, at the age of 69.
Born on February 5, 1950 in Thompson Station, NS, he was the son of the late Marjorie Isabel (Oderkirk) and Max Lyman Christie.
Edward was employed at Atlantic Industries for 42 years as a Machine Operator. He enjoyed hunting, nature, his horses and his hobby farm. Edward was very charismatic and a real prankster. He loved his family and his grandchildren very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Edward will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Marlene (Richard); his children, Emmerson (Gloria), Angela (Brian), Laura (Walter) and Robert (Brenda); his brothers, Marshall, Donald (Debby), Jack (Elizabeth), Fred (Koren) and William; his sisters, Patricia, Mae, Brenda (Brian), Susan (Al) and Heather; his grandchildren, Dean, Brent (Kisha), Selena, Alyre, Leah, Max, Evangeline and Orrin,; his great-grandchildren, Vincent and Willow, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the Sackville Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick Paramedics and the RCMP for their response and assistance.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. The family invites all of those who wish to celebrate Edwards’s life, to join them at the Rockport Community Hall on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 2-6 pm.
