Marcella Cole

Obituary of Marcella Marie Cole

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marcella Marie Cole, 74, of Dorchester, NB, on April 27, 2019, at Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, NB. She was an amazing wife, mother and nana; words cannot express how lost we will be without her.

Marcella and her family have endured three and a half years of operations, chemo treatments, hospital visits at Moncton City, Dr. Georges L.Dumont Hospital, Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre and Sackville Memorial in this her final journey.

Marcella was born in Wards Brook, Cumberland County, NS, on May 18, 1944, to the late C. Everett and E. Marguerite (Hughes) Crossman and she was predeceased by her only brother Arden.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Marshall of almost 60 years, daughter Michele Cole and partner Tony Epifano of Sydney, NS, and her four children including Kayla, son Marshall Jr. of Moncton, NB, and daughter Marlene and husband Glen Tibbet of Saint John, NB, and her two grandchildren Alex Kelly (Clare) and Jacob Kelly who were the light of her life. She will forever be their sweet Nana.

Marcella was a retired RNA having worked at the Drew Nursing Home for many years. She loved taking care of others. Her genuine caring nature drew people to her.

She loved gardening and it showed in her beautiful flower beds that she lovingly cared for each year. She loved spending summers at the cottage with Marshall and her family.

Marcella was kind, generous and a friend to many. She was an amazing baker and cook. Holidays were her favourite and she shared that love with her family. She also loved her tuxedo cat, Boots.

We must highlight the extraordinary care and attention given by our Doctor Andrea Wall and Kathy Cameron and all the day and night nurses and support staff at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. A special thank you to each and everyone of these wonderful people.

There will be no visitation or funeral service at Marcella’s request.

Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
