Obituary of Alice Maud (Hicks) Bembridge

It is with deep sadness but peace of heart, that the family of Alice M. Bembridge announces her passing on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Drew Nursing Home. Alice passed away peacefully, at the age of 106.

Born on June 19, 1912, at home on Brooklyn Road in Westmorland County, she was the daughter of the late Amasa and Dormer (Oulton) Hicks.

Alice will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Betty Hutchinson of New Maryland, N.B.; her son, Donald (Deanna) Bembridge of Amherst, N.S.; her four grandchildren, Gwen (Garth) Zwicker, Bruce Hutchinson, Gregory (Nancy) Bembridge and Sandra (Steven) O’Blenis; her five great-grandchildren; her six great-great grandchildren, as well as by many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Raymond Bembridge in 1977; her four sisters, Hilda (late John) Dixon, Daisy (late Rollie) Phinney, Marion (late Cameron) Hicks and Molly (late Harley) Hart, as well as by her son-in-law, Charles Hutchinson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 6-8 pm.  The funeral service will take place on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 1 pm with Rev. David Doherty officiating.  The burial will take place in the Midgic Cemetery.
