It is with deep sadness that the family of Jeannie Smith announces her passing on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville, N.B. Jeannie was 72 years of age.
Born on September 14, 1945 in Lynn, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Marion Rose (Perry) and William Anthony Smith.
Jeannie worked in various jobs throughout her life, including as an electronics technician, a barber, a real estate agent, running her own sewing business and performing as a go-go dancer while she was in Vermont. She enjoyed motorcycles, gardening, collecting anything frog related, watching sports, tv and old movies, particularly horror movies. Jeannie was a very loving and caring person who spent 10 years caring for her mum.
Jeannie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Deborah Robertson; her brother, Michael Kenneth Smith (Lydia); her grandson, Raymond; her two nieces, Candice Johnson (Robert) and Sherisse Smith (Robbie), as well as by her nephews, Vincent Vautour, Stephen Vautour (Meghan), Dereck Vautour (Lindsey) and Sean Smith.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her sister, Sharon Vautour.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Jeannie’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. Her burial will take place at a later date.
